Rules

 

• Circuit open to all shearers in 32 counties of Ireland,  all shearers MUST be a paid up member of NISSA
• If membership & entry fees are paid by the Friday of Balmoral Show, results from Donald (if competed) will be calculated. Entries will be accepted after this, but only results from date of payment will count towards your overal placing
• If not a paid-up member of NISSA, you will not be included regardless of results
• Points from ‘The Royal Ulster’ will be taken from the international competitions i.e. The Thursday (Junior) & Friday (Intermediate, Senior & Open) of Balmoral
• In the event of a tie at the final stage, quality marks taken from the pen score at the final eligible competition will take precedence. If still a tie then qualifying positions from the semi-finals, or position in heats if shearers did not make the semi-finals or final
• Bonus points for board & pen must be within the overall average time and will be the lowest in either heat / semi or final of each class
• Prize Giving & overall results will be announced at ‘NISSA Shears’ on Saturday 23rd July at Antrim Agri Show
• Appropriate etiquette of Shearers is expected during presentation of awards
